A warm night saw six JJs take a trip along the river to Prudhoe for a lovely 10km. A downhill start after a long warm up for some, mentioning no names Molly, saw a blistering first mile. The race settled and Kleo continued his fine form to come home first for the JJs. Behind him the battle for the woman’s race was hotting up. Eventually  Laura Cheetham took the 1st place with Molly Pace in 2nd not far behind. Both secured PBs and this was Molly’s first race 10km. Another battle behind saw the club masters athletes battling it out.  Simon Wells just hung on to thwart the fast running and in form  Geoff Blair. Geoff was 8s off 2nd Place in the O55s race and a prize. Rounding up the JJs was club sec David Newman  going under 50 mins. A great run from all our athletes saw the resulting pie’n’peas going down well after the race. A highly recommended race for next year.
