Women’s Race
A smaller team for the women this week due to illness and other commitments meant our squad dug deep to show our strength in depth on a tough course. Megan ran a stormer to move herself up to the medium pack for the next race and Wren ran a great debut race for the JJs to complete the scoring team. Kate, Penny and Lottie did a sterling job in holding off other runners which shows that everyone contributes in XC.

Men’s Race
A smaller men’s team than usual due to illness, injuries, skiing trips and flying planes to America. This left the remaining men to pull off an outstanding performance to finsh 3rd overall and move up to third in the league table. Joe ran his socks off to finish 1st in Division 3 and getting himself promoted to the fast pack for the next race. Jonny ran a great race but judged it well to finish just outside the promotion places. Good to see a surprise showing from Rob and Alex to complete our scoring team. Tim had a good run on a very tough course to bring home the JJs. Sadly Paul Waddell had to pull out after one lap due to turning his ankle. Well done men!
